The REALITY® Tour – Jakarta, Indonesia

The Climate Reality Project Indonesia and former US Vice President Al Gore are excited to be hosting a Leadership Corps training in Jakarta, Indonesia on 5 April 2025. This one-day event is part of The REALITY® Tour – a year of trainings and campaigns building global demand for ambitious action to phase out fossil fuels and stop rising temperatures. Join us for day of discussions with local experts, in-person networking, and a live stream with high-level speakers direct from Paris as we explore what vital work is ahead to phase out fossil fuels and accelerate energy transition. Now is your chance to learn how you can push for ambitious action.

WHY ATTEND THE TRAINING?
Indonesia plays a crucial role in global climate efforts, with its unique environmental challenges and opportunities. As a country vulnerable to climate change, achieving the 1.5°C target of the Paris Agreement is essential to safeguarding communities and ecosystems. This training will empower you with the skills to contribute to this mission.

  • Communicating Climate. Watch former US Vice President Al Gore deliver his landmark presentation on climate impacts and solutions around the world, and learn how you too can effectively advocate for change.
  • Compelling Content. Learn from leaders in the field about issues pertinent to your region and discover how you can drive real progress.
  • Community Building. Engage with fellow climate advocates during networking sessions– and join other trained leaders to make change in your community through Climate Reality’s international branch network.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THE TRAINING?

  • Grassroots advocates looking to learn more about the COP process, strengthen their campaign skills, and broaden their network.
  • Young people and students interested in joining the movement, taking their current efforts to the next level, or developing new advocacy skills.
  • Sustainability entrepreneurs working to develop innovative climate solutions.
  • Government officials, civil servants, and institutional representatives eager to drive a just transition in their work and advance solutions in their communities.
  • Individuals from impacted communities and all those compelled to fight for socially just climate solutions.

BECOMING A CLIMATE REALITY LEADER
Participants who complete the training will join the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, a worldwide network of over 49,000 individuals working to drive the transition toward a cleaner, more sustainable future. Graduates will have access to mentorship, networking opportunities, and resources to support their advocacy efforts.

PARTICIPATION DETAILS
Date: Saturday, 5 April 2025
Time: 9.00 – 19.00 WIB
Location: Kota Jakarta Timur, Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta
Cost: Free of charge, meals will be provided during the training.
Eligibility: Open to individuals aged 18 and above with a strong commitment to climate action.
Travel & Accommodation: Participants are responsible for their own transportation and other expenses.
